I love planners and I’m a big fan of the Happy Planner planner systems. The disc system they use is simply genius. It’s so easy to add and remove pages from you planner without tearing them. Today, I’m offering a quick tip on how resize your printable planner.
I design my planners to fit a standard letter size (8.5 x 11 inches). However, you can definitely still purchases any of my handy planners and make them fit your Happy Planner system.
It’s so easy to resize my planners, here’s how.
Step 1: Print
Open you PDF document and click on the printer button. When the print dialogue box pops up, select “custom Scale. You’ll want to change 100% and scale it down to 83%, as seen below. Then press “print”.

Step 2: Cut
The next thing you’ll want to do is cut your page to size. The classic Happy Planner page size 7 x 9.25 inches. An easy trick is to remove an existing page, place it over the page you want to cut down to size and mark the 4 corners.
Using an sharp blade or a paper trimmer, cut your paper to size using your corner marks as guides. If using a paper trimmer, you can trim several pages at a time.

Step 3: Hole Punch
The magic of the Happy Planner system is it’s unique whole punch. The notes produced by the punch allows your to insert and remove custom pages from your planner without tearing them.
If you like your system and would like to continuously add custom page to your planner, I feel that the $30 Happy Planner Punch is definitely worth the investment.

Really, it’s that simple. You can check some of my favorite planners from my shop:
